A new article released on the web yesterday claims that scientists in India recently discovered a new “ALIEN” form of bacteria in our upper atmosphere. Apparently, the bacteria found by a balloon floating in upper layers of the atmosphere found a bacteria that doesn’t look like typical bacteria on the ground (DUH). Did it really take a genius to figure this out? Do animals on the ground look like those in the sky? No.
I read the article, and immediately rolled my eyes. Sheesh, I guess some scientists are so desperate for the search for alien life that they are now calling things they find on planet Earth “extra-terrestrial.” By definition, if it is found on Earth naturally, doesn’t that mean it ISN’T extra-terrestrial?
And these poor scientists aren’t alone in their quest of naming Earth species “alien.” An article recently published by discovery.com suggests that a whole new field of science is goingn to be dedicated to finding species on earth and claiming that they are really alien in nature. WOW! Talk about desperation. I suppose since they can find no trace of life on any of our planets or moons, that they will just start labeling stuff they find on earth as alien to ease their conscious.
Some scientists have already came out and announced great skepticism on the find, and in my opinion, rightfully so! If it is found on Earth naturally, then it isn’t alien! Find it on another planet, moon, etc. naturally, and perhaps you can use the word alien (if it wasn’t contaminated). But if it is found on Earth, quit making yourselves look so desparate!
The Thing I Find Funny About Many Atheists
This just reminds me of several conversations I have had with my atheist friends over the years (both online & offline). Many like to point to religion as being “superstitious” and that a belief in God is “Irrational.” However, many atheists that like to mock religious beliefs and say there is no “evidence” for God, yet don’t realize that they themselves believe things that are even more irrational with no evidence.
Example: Almost all of the atheists or scientists I have spoken to believe very firmly that life exists on other planets. Yet, there is ZERO evidence for this to date. They have dug on Mars, the moon, etc. and guess what? They found NADA, Zilch, Nothing! They even spend MILLIONS of dollars on their quest to prove this, and it comes up empty every time (so far).
This didn’t surprise me one bit. I doubt very much that ANY life at all exists in the form scientists hope. The Earth is absolutely unique in its design, and has just the right ingredients necessary for life to exist. Not only does life exist on Earth, but it exists so ABUNDANTLY, that if you scrape some dirt, ice, or even bottle up the atmosphere you are bound to find tons of life. Make no mistake, God created the heavens & the Earth!
Have you ever taken the time to consider Earth? It is just the right distance from the sun to maintain an appropriate temperature for life. If it was as far back as Pluto, forget about any abundant & complex life. If it was as close as Mercury, forget about it! We certainly couldn’t survive.
But it is set just right! It has just the right chemicals for an atmoshpere, which is so important. It has a magnetic field to filter out most dangerous UV rays. It rotates at an acceptable range of speed as to allow adequate sunlight warming.
It has a moon that maintains and regulates such things as seasonal control & rotation, provides light at night which is recently been found to be incredibly important for agriculture, and so much more.
The Earth is unique, and it is not an accident, not a coincidence, and not a mistake. It was planned. In the same way that your computer was designed to get just the right amount of electricity, and for the screen to shine just brightly enough to allow you to see the screen, but not so much to make the words impossible to read….in that same way Earth was designed by a creator.
Sometimes atheists/scientists like to say, “Well, with all of the billions of galaxies, there has to be life out there.” I agree completely. There is life out there. It just isn’t what they think it is. There is a God, and there is His kingdom, which is filled with life, love, and glory. That is the ultimate source of all life.
Just because there are billions of galaxies, doesn’t mean there is life out there. We have billions of people in the world, how many do you think have the exact SAME fingerprint? There are billions of snowflakes. How many do you think are exactly the same? Just because there are billions and billions of something, doesn’t mean it is going to be like Earth. Some planets may even appear to be able to support life in a distant galaxy. Again, it surely doesn’t mean it does though!
Why Do Scientists Want to Find Life On Other Planets So Badly?
Of course, scientists may have multiple reasons. Maybe some have watched Star Trek too many times, and yearn to find friends out in space. Perhaps some are intrigued by the possibilities of other life.
At the same time, I can’t help be realize that many also think that it will help their case of trying to prove evolution. If they can find life on other planets, they think that will prove that there isn’t a God, Earth isn’t unique, and that all live evolves from nothing.
That is a great blunder of evolution. If it was as sexy of a theory as they think it is, and it is so easy for life to evolve so eloquently as it has, don’t you think we would find ABUNDANT life on our other planets, or moons? But that isn’t the case is it? Have you seen pictures of the other planets? There is nothing on them. They are barren, empty. Then look at Earth. It is filled with grass, trees, birds, animals, bacteria, etc. Scrape in any water on the planet and you will find life. Scrape in the snow or ice of Antarctica, and you will find life. Scrape in the sands of a desert, you will find life! It is EVERYWHERE!
I am not suggesting that there is NO life on any other planets or moons in our solar system. Perhaps they will one day find a few bacteria (it would probably come from contamination though). But I seriously doubt they will find any critters running around. Considering that the nearest galaxies & planets are so far away that it would take MILLIONS of years of space travel to get there, I don’t think we will be visiting them any time soon (and probably never at all). So our own solar system is the only exploration we will be doing anytime soon, and so far there is NO evidence to support life on other planets/moons.
But let’s be honest, they have found nothing after several attempts now. They have scraped the moon, Mars, and more. Yet they can’t find any trace of actual life (and no, “could support life” doesn’t count). Shouldn’t there be life found on these places, if it is so easy for evolution to occur? Of course they should! It just goes to show you how some of the same people who call “faith” in God irrational, have an even more irrational “faith” in little alien life.
But at the same time, they have nothing, and no other planets even look like ours! Doesn’t it strike you as odd how the bible is completely silent about life existing on other planets, moons, or stars. In the first book of Genesis, the bible makes it very clear that Earth was the center of God’s attention during creation. All other things in the universe was created to support Earth, and Earth was created to support life, and life was created to support God’s ulitmate creation of life: Humans!
Take all of the insects & bacteria out of the picture, and humans would die. Take humans out of the picture, and the insects & bacteria would still live! We depend on all of those other things. They help support our life here on Earth.
